Director of the well known English movie Resident Evil, Paul W.S. Anderson is working on his upcoming American Adventure Drama movie, Pompeii. For your information, Pompeii was an acient Roman city it was destroyed and buried under 4 to 6 meters of ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

According to Wikipedia the plot of the movie is

Set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, a slave on a ship heading for Naples works to get home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside the city's colosseum.
